Comm: Cloudcap Conundrum

The night had been beautiful, and the scene had been perfect.  Moonlight had sparkled off the glittery Cloudcaps field under the rock face like a surrealist dream.  That was all disrupted when the Northern Dragon appeared.

Perched on the cliff, it glared angrily down at the two elves, whom had been picking at the mushroom field, gathering up the sought after ingredient to pawn off at the local shops.  Vhaidra had immediately commented to Celise that she hasn't had the chance to slay a dragon lately, but that was a short lived thought, as the lizard beast took a deep breath, and showered the field in a throat full of mist.  It rolled towards the two females, whom gave it no worry as they prepared themselves for battle... only to explode like popcorn into huge, tight, spherical balls as soon as they were enveloped.

As they began to float up and away from the mushrooms, they realised that they just found out the hard way they were trespassing on the Dragons land and feeding ground...

A little description to clarify things from Kreizen:

"Cloudcap is the name of a type of mushroom that induces inflation when consumed. Commercially, it's used to brew diluted potions that augment women's curves...a luxury / vanity item. Sometimes northern dragons consume them, and can become tainted (or upgraded, depending on your view point) into cloudcap dragons. Their breath weapon changes from their usual frost and wind to a mist that causes inflation. Consuming an unprocessed mushroom also causes huge inflation."

This one was both a joy, and burden.  It was nice to work on more of a "scene" type picture, and it was also awesome to finally sit down and challenge myself with some sort of dragon drawing (this is the first time I've actually drawn one).  It was a pain because it was my first dragon drawing... and also because, despite what people say, sphere inflation drawings can be a pain in the ass at times.  Throw in a little bit of life interference, and this picture took way longer than I thought it would to complete.

And to nip the eventual comment of:  "how did their clothes not rip off!?".  "Magical mushroom powered dragon breath".
